The package comes with all the accessories to get started. Im a first time user using megohmmeter but the instruction from the manual were clear and easy to install the connector. Apparently Kaiweets is a well known brand that does the multimeter measurement. The quality of the product is durable, the DC/AC measurement is pretty accurate when I was testing my car battery.The cons are:-carry box is way to big that has so much extra space that made the multimeter bouncing around in the box-There is no stand from the Megohmmeter, its either lay flat or 90 degrees angleOverall, the Megohmmeter is well made and safe to use with multiple voltage measurement, backlight, can hold the measurement to compare.
Low cost & works properly
This Megohmmeter works really, it is pretty easy to use and it's very accurate as well, the large LCD screen is really easy to read and it is also backlit, the unit itself feels well made and it has a professional look to it as well, the tester take 8 AA batteries and it came with a set of 8 batteries, so it's ready to use right out of the box, it also comes with a negtive & positive test leads and 2 alligator clips, as well as a nice storage case, I really like all of the features this tester has and how easy the features are to use, this tester can be used as an AC/DC voltage tester, a resistance tester and a continuity tester, you can also use it for comparison, timed measuring and I love the one touch DAR/PI calculation feature, the tester has a good ohms range too from 3m to 100g and the voltage range is 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V, all in all I am very happy with the overall quality and performance of this Megohmmeter, definitely a good value for the price in my opinion.
This insulation tester is straightforward and easy to use. It tests up to 1,000v and 100G ohms, using 8 AA batteries which are included. The test leads are rated to 1,000v and 10A, and include clamps which have both teeth and flat areas for attaching to wire insulation without breaking it.The manual is simple and straightforward and using it is almost trivial. It does include voltage and resistance measurements, but no current.It has places to loop 3/4” straps through on each side so you can take it up poles if needed, but the strap is not included.Overall a good insulation tester. Not hi-pot, but it would get you some preliminary info before you send anything out for hi-pot testing.Great for testing motor windings and other wires that are subject to heat and vibration.
These types of meters are a little different than a standard multimeter and offer so much more than that. If you are needing one for lower DC voltages, I would suggest something else, as it is not purely intended for that purpose and can be a little bit off of low voltage readings. This meter is great for higher voltage readings and capacities. Well built and feels solid. Functions as it should and has a clear instruction booklet included. The leads are very well made and pliable wiring makes it easy to bend the wires around without feeling brittle. The display is bright and clear and buttons are well made. No complaints and I would recommend this meter for any one needing motor testing and ohm readings. Great product at a good price.
