This is really nice, no need to move dials to correct settings. Put the leads on stuff and it does the rest even if its continuity or volts! Amazing!

This meter works well and it's inexpensive, the included probes are fine and I really like that it has a clip to hold one probe on the jaws. The NCV and automatic functions also work well enough. It also comes with a pretty nice case that I actually repurposed for one of my other nicer meters.I don't understand why they are advertising this as "AI" though. Automatic meters have already existed for a while, and I guarantee there is no artificial intelligence or machine learning going on here, it just cycles through modes until it hits one with a reading that seems realistic and stops there. That's fine, it works, and it's much like other meters, but calling it "AI" is just silly.This isn't the best multimeter, but it's good for the price. Personally I'm not sure that I like the automatic feature, and I think a control dial is faster to use. But some people prefer this, and it helps when you are less experienced and not sure what setting to use.

As a professional, it doesn��t usually take me long to identify customers that talk a big game but really have no idea what they are doing, so I get a call because they gave it their best shot, and now they are stumped.This KAIWEETS auto-ranging meter is the perfect tool for initial quick diagnosis. I can pull it out as I walk onto the job and make a few quick, nearly automatic measurements, and already have a good idea where the job is headed in minutes. While I am doing this, I often get their detailed, but usually inaccurate, description of the problem.Such is the opinion of one of the ��1-star�� reviews (in German, my native language) which says that the meter does not function, as it did not read the ��current in the cable (cord) of his toaster in either automatic or manual mode.��I am virtually certain that this user just closed the clamp around the cord, unaware that no clamp meter can read current when both the line and neutral conductors are both inside the clamp, as one conductor��s field effectively and constantly neutralizes the other leading to an inevitable reading of zero. Although this meter does indeed claim to be (and actually is) ��automatic�� a basic understanding of electricity by the user is nevertheless, unfortunately required.Another user lamented (in Italian) that ��the plastic caps on the tips cannot be removed��. These caps CAN be removed as they snap off with a little effort leaving the probes perfectly capable of being inserted ��into the small contacts of the switches on the electrical panels��, as he said was important to him. The caps are there to comply with international IEC CAT standards so the leads can meet the 600V CAT III rating and be legal to sell in regulated countries like the USA and in Europe, but can be pulled off if not needed. (Pulling them off may invalidate the CAT III certification, though.)On to the meter��s functions. I found that the meter��s ability to select the proper function and range automatically was both fast and reliable. Accuracy, when compared to my much more expensive master DVOM is remarkably good and certainly more than adequate for field work. The included ��K�� thermocouple makes this meter particularly well suited for HVAC diagnosis and is within ��1.5��F of my NIST traceable master thermometer.Similar to almost all the non-contact voltage sensing meters of this type, I find the NCV indicator to be a little overly sensitive, making it react strongly to nearby live wires even if the breaker you are testing is actually ��dead��. Then again, it��s meant to keep your fingers out of potentially dangerous ��live�� places, so overly sensitive is certainly better than under.Lastly, I have grown instantly fond of the feature that allows you to clamp one of the leads along the right side of the amp clamp letting you probe circuits while holding the meter, avoiding the typical ��I need three hands�� scenario when probing a breaker box or terminal block. Excellently, it also keeps your hands farther from the terminals for added safety as you test.This is an excellent tool in any event, and especially at this price. A built-in LED flashlight at the tip enhances its usability beyond the convenience of its automatic functions and its accuracy and big, bright display make it a joy to use. A winner in my book.
